You're Fintastic (Video)

Hello everyone! This is the second post and video for today, click here to see the first video with a giveaway!

Anyway, today I'm going to be making a card using the brand new Magical Mermaids stamp set from Sunny Studio that was just released! I've shared a video before this showing a close up of the release and I thought I'd upload one of the cards I made using the mermaid set.

To begin my card I stamped out all my images from the Magical Mermaids stamp set onto some Neenah White Cardstock and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured them in with Copic markers. Once everything was coloured I used the coordinating dies to cut all of them out and set them off to the side.

For my background I first blended some Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean Distress Inks onto some watercolour cardstock. I then took some clean water and a brush and spread it around to blend and fade it out into white. Once I'm happy with how it looks, I sprinkled a little table salt on top, then heat set it and if I were to do this again, I would try and use grounded up sea salt or rock salt and see if that works better, since this didn't give me the look I was going for, but I ended up just going with it and then sprinkling some water over top and picking that up with a towel and then heat setting and drying it again. Now that my background was done, it was ready to assemble.

I arranged all my images on top of my watercolour panel so I could get an idea for where to stamp my sentiment. Once all my images were down, I went ahead and stamped my sentiment that reads 'You're Fintastic' with some black ink in the spare spot that I left on the right hand side. I then went ahead and adhered all my images down using some flat adhesive and foam tape also.

Now that everything is adhered I went ahead and cut down a piece of Green Apple cardstock and adhered it to my white card base, then used fun foam to pop up my entire panel and adhered that onto my base as well. For a last finishing touch I used some Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh and adhered them around my card to look like bubbles and that finished up my card for today.

I hope you enjoyed and make sure you check out the video below and also the video and post previous to this to see the whole Sunny Studio Stamps summer release up close and also to be entered into the giveaway to win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll catch you all next time!
