Craftie Cafe - Wedding Wishes (Video)

Hi everyone, today I'm here for Craftie Café and for today I have a wedding card using the Modern Peonies stamp set from WPlus9 and Peerless Watercolours to do some quick and messy watercolour.

To begin my card I first stamped out all of my images from the stamp set onto some watercolour paper with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then clear heat embossed my images as well. Next up I used my Peerless Watercolours to messily colour in all my flowers and leaves. I then dried them off with a heat tool and cut them out using the coordinating dies

I then decided to also watercolour my background. I pulled out a light grey peerless watercolour and painted over the background of my watercolour panel and then flicked some darker grey on with a paint brush. Once I liked the look I heat set the panel.

Next up I added foam and liquid adhesive onto all the backs of my flowers and leaves and adhered them down onto my background. I used my guillotine trimmer to cut off the excess flowers and leaves overlapping the sides of my panel. I then pulled out my stamp master tool and stamped the sentiment ‘Wedding Wishes’ from the same set with black ink in the centre of the panel.

To finish up the card I added sequins in matching colours from Pretty Pink Posh and adhered my panel to a white card base with fun foam.

The video is linked down below.

That finished up my card for today, I hope you enjoyed and got inspired. This is such a gorgeous stamp set and it’s so great for many occasions.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll catch you all next time!

Birthday Pop Up Box Card (Video)

Hi everyone, today I'm back with another card and video for you all and today I'm using the Pop Up Box Card die from Lawn Fawn. I'm also pulling in a few stamp sets to help set the scene and I had so much fun making this card. I didn't think I needed this die until I made a card with it, now I'm going to be making so many!

To begin my card I first made the base of my card. I cut two of the main die from some Green Apple cardstock and then three of the additional pieces to add inside to be able to adhered my images to. Once both were cut and so were the inside pieces I scored along all the lines ready to assemble. I added scor tape to one flap and adhered it to the other side of the box, connecting the two. I then added scor tape to all six sides of the inside pieces, adhered them as straight as I could get them, then removed the backers on the other side of the middle pieces and closed the box on top on the flaps, ensuring everything laid flat and closed up nicely. I then added scor tape to the last remaining flap and closed the box up to adhere together the entire box. That created the box and now I could move on to adding additional pieces.

I first used the Grassy Trio Borders from Mama Elephant and cut a grassy hill, cutting it down to size to fit at the front of the box.  I also cut down a blue piece of cardstock to fit on the back flap to make it look more like a sky. Once that was adhered my base was complete.

Next up I used the Bicycle Built for You stamp set, stamped down all my images and coloured them in with Copic markers. Once everything was coloured I die cut them all out using the coordinating dies.

I adhered all my images together and then onto my box also, just adding adhesive to the bottom of the images just to stick them into place and not the stick the box together when closed.

For my sentiment I used the Bannertastic stamp set as the base for it and used the 'wishing you a' and 'birthday' sentiments and curved them to stamp inside the banner. I then used the 'happy' sentiment from Big Scripty Words to fit in the middle of the sentiment so it reads 'wishing you a happy birthday'. I really love mixing together these two sets as it makes for a fun bold sentiment.

I adhered that onto the front of the box on top of a white die cut panel from the same die set as the box die and also adhered some clouds from the Pierced Clouds die set from Avery Elle just to set the scene even more. To completely finish up I added some Wink of Stella onto some of the images and the card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired and I'll be back soon for another video!
