Hello Bluebird - Hay There & Hello

Hi everyone, today I’m back with two cards for Hello Bluebird. I’ll be using the Farmyard Little Bits Stamp Set as well as the Gallery Frame #1 Dies and Grassy Knoll Dies for my first card and the Wildflower Bouquet Stamp Set and Gallery Frame #1 Dies for my second card.

To start off with my first card today, I stamped out all the images I wanted to use from Farmyard Little Bits and coloured them in with my Copic Markers. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. While I had my die cutting machine out I used the Gallery Frame #1 Dies to cut out a white frame and I also die cut some grassy hills from the Grassy Knoll Dies. I then used some Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks on the grass and Tumbled Grass and Salty Ocean for the sky. I adhered the two pieces together and adhered them behind my frame.

(Copic Markers Used - BG11, BG32, BG23 / R81, R83, R85 / Y11, Y15, Y19 / Y000, Y00 / RV42, RV25, RV29 / R000, R00, R20 / R14, R24, R29 / YG03, YG13, YG17 / E53, E55 / W00, W0, W2, W5, W7 / 0)

Now, I added foam tape to all my images and adhered them into place inside my frame. For my sentiment, I decided to use several. I white heat embossed all five of my sentiments/phrases onto thin strips of black cardstock and cut them down. I adhered them over my images too so it appeared that each critter was saying something different. For a last finishing touch on my card, I pulled some patterned paper out from Lawn Fawn and adhered it onto my base. I then adhered a thin strip in the middle as well and wrapped a little red and white twine around it. So that finished up my first card for today, let’s move onto the second card.

For my second card, I used a ton of inks and stamped out my Wildflower images. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them all out and set them off to the side. While I had my die cutting machine out I also used the Gallery Frame #1 Dies to cut out the word ‘Hello’ from black cardstock. Now, I needed to use the Woven Embossing Folder from We R Memory Keepers and I ran that through with a piece of kraft cardstock. Now it was time to assemble my card.

(Altenew Inks Used - Cotton Candy, Rose Quartz, Coral Berry, Puffy Heart, Bamboo, Olive, Caribbean Sky, Mango Smoothie)

I took my embossed piece and laid it down on my work surface. I then created a bouquet of flowers using all my die cut flowers. Now that I had them arranged the way I wanted, I took some Press N Seal and pressed it over top of my bouquet. That picked up all my images and therefore was easier to adhere them all down in the exact place I wanted them. I used a mixture of flat and foam adhesive to adhere them. Lastly I adhered down my sentiment with liquid adhesive onto the right hand side of my card, making sure to overlap it with the flowers. So that finished off my second card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired and enjoyed my projects today. I’ll be back soon with some more projects, catch you all next time!

------------------------------------------------

Now that all the details are out of the way, let's move onto the card I made.

For today’s card I decided to use my favourite set from the release; Koala Friends. I was so incredibly inspired by another teamie, Gemma that I used a design she has showcased many times for the inspiration for my card design. I really love that inset ink blending look and that's what I took from her design today.

To begin my card, I stamped out the Koala and Baby image from the set and coloured it in with Copic Markers. I decided I also wanted some leaves so I pulled the Pretty Petunia’s stamp set as it had the most similar leaves to the ones from the Koala set. I also coloured them in with the same green Copic Markers. Once they were coloured I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I set them off to the side and worked on my background. I used a piece of watercolour cardstock and ink blended some Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto it. I flicked it with some water and dried it off with a heat tool. I then cut two pieces of white cardstock and adhered it on the top and bottom of the ink blended panel with foam adhesive.

Next, I adhered my Koala and leaves around the card as well. For my sentiment, I used the ‘A Happy Hello’ and stamped it in black ink on the ink blended panel as well. To finish off my card, I used the clear jewels and scattered them around as well.

That finishes off my card today, I hope you enjoyed. The video is linked down below.

Your next/last stop on the hop is Justine, so head over to her blog to see what she has in store for you.

PPP New Release:

Supplies Used:

Craftie Cafe - For You (Video)

Hi everyone, today I'm here for Craftie Cafe and I’ll be using the Modern Calla Lillies set from WPlus9 along with Simply Sentiments from Lawn Fawn for the sentiment to create a simple For You card.

To begin my card today, I started off with stamping out the leaves from the Lillies set onto some Noble Fir and Cilantro Cardstock from Lawn Fawn with Versamark Ink. I then gold heat embossed them all. Next I stamped out three of the Lily images from the set onto some watercolour cardstock, and coloured those in using some Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers. Once they were coloured I cut all my images out using the coordinating dies. Next I took a grey striped piece of patterned paper and cut it down to the size of my card base. I then adhered all my leaves onto one side of the paper using flat and dimensional adhesive.

(Zigs Used: No. 901 - Grey Tint, No. 50 - Yellow, No. 64 - Oatmeal)

For my sentiment, I took the Simply Sentiments from Lawn Fawn and white heat embossed the ‘For You’ sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock. I adhered that onto the top left hand side of my card base. Then, I adhered my lillies around the sentiment to finish off my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and check back next week for another project using the Modern Calla Lillies stamp set.

MFT & Friends: June (Video)

Hi friends, today I'm so excited to be joining in with My Favorite Things for their MFT & Friends feature. I made a card today using the Meow Mix Stamp Set along with the Moroccan Mosaic Dies and some dies from previous releases.

To begin my card today, I started off with stamping out some cats and flowers from the Meow Mix set. I coloured them in using Copic Markers and then cut them out using the coordinating dies. I set them off to the side and now continued with the rest of my die cutting. Next I pulled a piece of watercolour cardstock out and die cut it using the scalloped frame die from Blueprints 27. Then I took the Big Hugs die and cut it from the centre, I removed the letters and then pulled the Moroccan Mosaic Dies and a tan embossing mat out and embossed the print into it. Now my panel was all ready to go.

(Copic Markers Used: E53, E55 E57 / W0, W2, W5 / YG03, YG13, YG17 / Y04, Y35, Y38 / YR21, YR15, YR27 / BG11, BG23, BG49 / BV02, BV04, BV08 / RV13, RV25, RV19 / R000, R20 / B21 B24, B26)

Next, I ink blended some Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink on the centre of my embossing. Then I flipped over my panel and added some acetate to the back. Then I added one layer of foam tape all around the 'Hugs' word and the rest of the panel. I then filled my word with a ton of different sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Then I adhered a piece of white cardstock on the back to contain the sequins. I flipped the panel over and adhered my images on the top and bottom of my Hugs sentiment. Lastly I adhered my entire panel onto a piece of Desert Storm Cardstock and also white heat embossed the 'Sending Pawsitive Vibes' onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered that under the large Hugs sentiment to completely finish off my card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today, the video is linked down below if you would like to watch.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll catch you all next time!
